At Vox Arcana, we believe beautiful jewelry should respect the planet and the people who craft it. Our approach is grounded in a few clear principles, with concrete actions where they apply today and explicit goals where we are still working.

What we do today

  • Small-batch design. Our pieces are designed in New Mexico and produced in small batches. We do not mass-produce.
  • Honest stone disclosure. Where stones are dyed, heat-treated, or stabilized — common practice for some materials such as turquoise — we disclose it on the product page or item label, in line with FTC Jewelry Guides and EU consumer-protection rules.
  • Lifetime care. Every customer can write to us for free care advice. Replacement cord or clasp on bracelets is offered at cost.
  • 60-day returns. Not happy with a piece? Return it within 60 days. EU customers also benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU and the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under Directive 2019/771.

Materials and packaging

Our designs use natural gemstones and metal alloys; precise material composition is listed on each product page where applicable. We use minimalist packaging and prioritise paper-based, recyclable or recycled materials over plastic where the choice is available to us.

What we will not do

  • We will not market synthetic, lab-grown, or composite stones as “natural.”
  • We will not omit treatment disclosure on stones that have been dyed, heated, or stabilized.
  • We will not source from operations that are publicly identified with conflict-mineral or human-rights concerns.
  • We will not make health, therapeutic, or diagnostic claims about our products.

Where we are still working

The following are stated goals, not current claims. We do not represent these as already achieved.

  • Building direct relationships with small-scale stone suppliers and being able to publish supply-chain summaries for our most-used materials.
  • Reducing the carbon footprint of our shipping by consolidating into local fulfilment hubs (we plan to stand up a US fulfilment lane to ship domestically rather than from New Mexico).
  • Joining or aligning with an industry-recognised responsible-sourcing programme as our scale grows.

Tell us if we get it wrong

If you see a claim on this site that you do not think we can defend, please tell us at hello@vox-arcana.org. We would rather correct ourselves than make claims we cannot back up.
